The new Ibiza

The appearance of the "White Island" is renewed one more year in order to constantly offer novelty and originality to tourism from all over the world.

In the last year, Ibiza has a new wardrobe. A series of reforms and improvements in key points of the city have been redesigned following the typical Ibizan style but with a touch of modernity.

The intention is to make the stay of tourists and the daily life of the inhabitants of the city of Eivissa even more welcoming and comfortable.

The extension of the areas closed to motorcycle and car traffic, the work of paving areas intended only for pedestrians or the spaces dedicated to families with children are some of the actions in which the Ibiza Town Hall has planned to invest throughout the 2017.

The work done is easily visible when we arrive at the port and La Marina. The promenade next to the ferries and yacht docks has been extended with a large terrace that juts out into the sea to admire the lights of the entire bay.

The two most emblematic squares in the center, Plaza del Parque and Vara de Rey, have been renovated with a new image and lighting that makes them more modern and facilitates access to numerous venues, bars and restaurants that give them the typical color. Particular attention has been paid to tourism with children and sports, which is why multiple improvements are observed in other parts of the island.

The beauty of Dalt Vila, the charm of the old neighborhood of the Marina and its stone alleys that go into the city have found a new light and vitality, infecting the entire downtown area and related activities.

Discovering the wonders of Ibiza is a different experience every year. For those who come to the island for the first time, the impression is difficult to forget: the eyes will try to capture everything and record all the magic. For those who visit the island, it is often a pleasant surprise to notice the differences and, above all, the improvements in the quality of life during the holidays.
