As August ends, something changes in Ibiza. The light turns more golden, the temperatures begin to soften, and although the island is still very much alive, everything tones down.
September isn't the low season, far from it. But it is that perfect midpoint where you begin to notice the rhythms slowing down and, if you know where to look, you can find an Ibiza that's a little friendlier, a little more yours.
In Ibiza Project we always say September is one of our favorite months. Because the island is still full of energy, but it leaves you room to breathe (and choose).
What is it about September that we love so much?
The ideal climate to do everything (without melting)
You still have sunshine, long days, and open beaches, but without the extreme heat of July or August. You can hike without waking up at 6 a.m., stay longer on a terrace, or sleep better at night.
The beaches are still alive, but they are beginning to loosen
Yes, there are still queues to park in some popular coves, and yes, there are still people. But gaps are starting to appear: Cala Gracioneta first thing in the morning, in It's Cavalle tduring the week, or even in lesser-known coves in the north such as It's Portitxol or the Cala Xuclar, where the atmosphere is more relaxed.
And if you prefer to avoid any stress completely, we can also organize it for you a boat getaway to beaches accessible only from the sea. A luxury you don't need to share with everyone.
Eat well without looking at the clock (or the number of diners in front of you)
In August, some restaurants are almost impossible to find. In September, things change. You still need a reservation in many places, but not everything is "booked for the next two weeks."You can eat at typical and charming restaurant, enjoy a special dinner with ocean view, or rediscover beach barsauthentic and enjoy a sunset and , with a little more calm.
Moments that appear when the volume is lowered
Stroll through Dalt Vila at sunset without the constant push of tourists. Catch an impromptu concert at a beach bar. Take a walk along Atlantis or a sunrise yoga session in the countryside. These are plans that begin to feel more accessible and more enjoyable in September.
