Where to go in Ibiza: it's not as chic as Marinas, not as trendy as Playa d'en Bossa, yet (or perhaps because of that) Vara del Rey is so beloved by those who truly live the island. For a coffee, an aperitif or a 'copa' after dinner.

The soul of a place is also defined by the habits and the daily rituals of its residents or regulars, which are also a good occasion to participate in the life of the island for those who visit it.

In Ibiza Town, among them, there is certainly a stop in Vara del Rey, the delightful promenade symbol of the 'new Ibiza', with a strong European vocation, but that does not give up its traditions.

Built at the beginning of the last century, in honour of the valiant local soldier Joaquin Vara del rey, died in battle, it recalls the walking areas that you can find in Paris or Berlin, from which it has inherited the bohiemienne ambience.

All in pure Ibicencan style though, with plenty of tapas bars and cafes where to drink a “canha” as aperitif or a mojito after dinner, while chatting or watching a street artist performing in the square. In short, the typical mix of cheerfulness and relaxation that characterizes the island's life.

The location is strategic, at the center of the city's social life: between Dalt Vila, the Marina, the promenade of the port and Plaza del Parque, the delightful square adjacent.

People come here for a pleasant, fun night, but with a rhythm alternative to the excesses of the big clubs and the areas with the highest concentration of tourism.

Teatro Pereyra, set in a beautiful colonial building, and always popular thanks to the excellent selection of drinks and high quality music program.
