5 hidden coves in the north of Ibiza

In this article we present some not so well-known beaches that you should not miss in the north of Ibiza.

Since the 1970s, the coves in the north of the island have fascinated tourists and travelers from all over the world.

The characteristics that distinguish them are undoubtedly their small size, the rock formations that surround them and a more private environment, far from the lights of the most "party" Ibiza.

Being more isolated from urban centers, sometimes not easily accessible, these beaches are less crowded than others.

Therefore, we are happy to share with you some "secret places" with some noteworthy little tips:

PORTIXOL

It is a small cove that represents one of the least known corners of the north coast.

Head from San Miguel to the Illa Blanca urbanization and once you take the path to the left.

A walk of approximately 40 minutes through spectacular coves will take you to your destination. Do not forget to bring water, something to snack on, the straw hat "payes" and comfortable shoes.

S'ILLOT DEN RENCLI

It is a rocky cove with transparent waters, ideal for practicing "snorkeling". To get there from Sant Joan, take the road to Portinatx, 4 kilometers later, after the sign for Cala Xarraca, you will see a path that goes down to the left.

XUCLAR COVE

A small beach ideal for those seeking tranquility. There is no lack of a cozy beach bar offering simple Mediterranean dishes.

CALA XARRACA

Considered by many to be a natural "spa" where you can take advantage of a beneficial mud bath.

MASTELLA COVE

It is one of the smallest beaches in Ibiza, a tongue of sand and pebbles. For adults and children it is recommended to wear sea shoes to avoid getting hurt.

We have listed 5 little-known beaches, although there are many others that are worth a visit. Follow our Blog and our Facebook and Instagram pages to stay informed about news and updates.
