IBIZA 2020: AN ANOMALOUS SEASON

The difficult test to which COVID-19 has subjected us makes us anticipate our usual summer farewell message, but we continue to work, to serve you and give you, as far as possible, the explanations that serve you and your customers. about the situation in Ibiza and Formentera.

It has been a summer without a party and that made Ibiza even more unusual, but that made us rediscover beaches, coves that we had not visited for a long time, travel along roads, paths that we did not know, notice some aspects and details unknown to us. We went to Formentera more often, we were able to sail more to discover the coasts that we did not remember. We visited markets with few people, we took endless walks in Dalt Vila: in short, we are more than ever willing to suggest where to go and what to do more than before.

Another thing that made us feel proud of Ibiza and Formentera was seeing hotels, restaurants, bars, beach bars, shops that have opened despite the forecast of few tourist arrivals: very little income, too low occupation and difficulties of all kinds to respect the numerous protocols presented by the Spanish central government or that of the Balearic Islands, but they have opened, they have tried, already knowing of closing with a loss account, but they have been there to withstand a truly complex and difficult situation.

We are even more convinced that Ibiza and Formentera are wonderful, we have really special suppliers and collaborators with whom we have supported each other, so our balance of the 2020 season has been positive considering the world situation.

We have a complicated future ahead of us, but we will endure, we will do it for us and for you too.

Even this year you have not abandoned each other: some travel agents have spent long weekends here, many others have confirmed, modified and canceled reservations.

You have called us, you have wanted to know our opinion on what to do and we never had the slightest premonition of not letting your clients come who really wanted to vacation in Ibiza and Formentera.

We are sorry because: "for the first time in many years, many repeaters could not come on vacation to their beloved islands."

We know that desire will not go away and that is why we will continue to be here!

Normally in this newsletter we list the fairs in which we will participate and where we can say goodbye: this year we still do not know which fairs will be confirmed in 2021, if and how we will participate since we are awaiting instructions from the Tourism Board of Spain, from Ibiza and Formentera: but one thing is certain and certain: not participating in a fair will not distance us!

We will spend as every winter some time in Ibiza and another in Italy, available for a video call Italy / Spain or for a coffee and live chats in Italy.

We are there and this is the message we want to reach you!

The next suitcase you pack will be spectacular, the next boarding pass will be the best and the next time in Ibiza and Formentera will be electrifying!
